So far, we’ve decided that Manhattan Beach is our favorite. It has that touristy-beach feel without being overcrowded or trashy. Up the hill from the beach are lots of little shops and restaurants, and at the beach are lots of surfers and body-boarders. Plus, the parking was only $2.50 for 4 1/2 hours – definitely the cheapest we’ve found!One thing to consider when there, though… wear sunscreen all over your body – not just on the places you don’t want to get darker. That may come as “no kidding, dummy” knowledge to most of you… but today my sunburn is in the gross-peeling-itchy stage.
